Herritmo
Herritmo is a word invented from the union of “Herri” (people) and “Erritmo” (rhythm).
It is the show that brings together dance, music, singing and rural sports in a combo in which Oreka TX, Kukai dantza and the voices of Kalakan interact. Traditional elements of culture are shown in a conceptual and plastic contemporary proposal.
Rural sports have been worked in with artistic vision, converting work movements into choreographies and the sounds of tools into instruments.
Herritmo’s aim was to transfer these expressions of incalculable ethnographic value from rural spaces to the stage, taking special care in the handling of scenography, acoustics and lighting, in order to give them another dimension and revaluation.
